Decree No 11/2016/ND-CP, dated February 3, 2016, which details the
implementation of granting of work permits to foreign nationals working
in Viet Nam, has replaced Decree No 102/2013/ND-CP.
The Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) expects tourist
arrivals from five western European countries to increase by 50 per cent
in the next three years as visa exemption norms kicked in this month.
Viet Nam and France have agreed on the necessity to remove trade
barriers in market approaches through bilateral dialogue, including Viet

The Ministry of Finance has issued a circular to regulate the operation of electronic gambling businesses. The circular stipulates that businesses can
decide on the number of machines they operate, but cannot go over the
number indicated on their business certificates.
The HCM City Tourism Association continues to
petition the Government to retain the visa waiver scheme for nationals
of seven countries — and in fact to expand it — and not to hike visa
fees.
